COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M softball team closes out the regular season with four straight away games, the first of which is a doubleheader at Kansas on Thursday. First pitch is set for 11:15 a.m. at Arrocha Ballpark.
The games were postponed from March 28-29 when snow in Lawrence, Kan., caused the cancellation of the weekend series and led to a 10-day hiatus from play for the Aggies.
A&M (29-18, 6-8 Big 12) enters the midweek twin bill after splitting a two-game set with Iowa State in its regular season home finale last weekend. The A&M offense was stifled in a 3-0 loss on Saturday, but came back on Sunday for a 9-1, five-inning run-rule of the Cyclones.
The Jayhawks (20-28, 5-9 Big 12) come in to the doubleheader having won two games, 9-2 and 3-0, on Tuesday at Wichita State. In conference play, KU split against Baylor last weekend and sits in eighth place - two spots behind the sixth-place Aggies.
