COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M's NCAA first round women's tennis match against No. 23 SMU on Saturday, May 9 at the Baylor Tennis Center in Waco, Texas, has been changed to an 11 a.m. start, Baylor officials announced today.
The match was originally slated to begin at 2 p.m.
Host Baylor and Texas Arlington, the other two teams at the four-team site, were initially scheduled to open first-round action at 11 a.m. but will now play at the 2 p.m. time slot. The switch was made because the NCAA mandates that the host institution must play the second match on the first day of competition.
The first-round winners will play Sunday, May 10 at 2 p.m. for the right to advance to the Round of 16 to be played at Texas A&M's George P. Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station beginning May 15.

No. 23 SMU (27-2) vs. No. 39 Texas A&M (14-10), 11 a.m.
No. 4 Baylor (24-4) vs. UT Arlington (18-6), 2 p.m.
Sunday, May 10
First round winners, 2 p.m.
A&M (14-10) is making its 10th consecutive and 15th overall appearance in the NCAA Women's Tennis Championships.
