COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M's Ashley Freeman and Sarah Zwartynski have been named to the All-Big 12 women's golf team.
A junior from Belleville, Ill., Freeman birdied the second hole of a playoff to win the Big 12 individual title on Sunday. She ranks second on the team in scoring with a 76.27 scoring average and has placed in the top 10 in three of her last four tournaments.
A sophomore from Allen, Zwartynski leads the team in scoring with a 75.58 average. She has posted five top 25 finishes and tied for sixth at the Big 12 Championship. Zwartynski also made the all-conference team last year as a true freshman.
Oklahoma State freshman Caroline Hedwall swept both the Player and Newcomer of the Year awards. Baylor's Sylvia Ferdon won Big 12 Coach of the Year.
The Aggies will compete in the NCAA West Regional May 7-9 in Tempe, Ariz.
