COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M women's tennis once again dominated the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's national attendance race.
For the second year in a row, the Aggie women led the race from start to finish, easily outdistancing all other women's tennis programs in all three categories: total attendance, average attendance and single-match attendance.
A&M brought in 4,583 fans at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center this season. The total was more than 2,000 ahead of runner-up Alabama.
A&M also finished atop the race standings in average attendance, drawing an average of 417 per match in its 11 home matches. Georgia finished second with a 174 average. The Aggie women completed the sweep by recording seven of the top 10 match totals, including five matches that surpassed the 500-attendance mark.
A&M went 8-3 in home matches and 14-11 overall after advancing to the first round of the NCAA Championships.
