COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M Men's Basketball Coach Mark Turgeon, on behalf of former All-American Acie Law IV, accepted a replica of the Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year Award from Basketball Hall of Fame sculptor Brian P. Hanlon Monday afternoon at the Cox-McFerrin Center for Aggie Basketball.
The award was given to Law for his performance during the 2007 basketball season.
Nicknamed "Mr. Clutch" for his ability to take over the game late in contests, Law became A&M's first consensus All-American after leading A&M to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in 2007.
He was a first-round draft pick by the NBA's Atlanta Hawks later that summer.
