Peck Falls in Round of 16 at U.S. Public Links

Texas A&M freshman-to-be Cameron Peck defeated Korea's Jake An 4 and 2, then was eliminated by Oklahoma assistant coach Phillip Bryan 2 and 1 on Thursday at the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship

NORMAN, Okla. - Texas A&M freshman-to-be Cameron Peck defeated Korea's Jake An 4 and 2, then was eliminated by Oklahoma assistant coach Phillip Bryan 2 and 1 on Thursday at the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship at the Jimmie Austin/OU Golf Club.

In the second round match against An, Peck never trailed and was five up with six to play. An came back to win the next two points, but Peck closed out the match with a win on the 16th hole. Peck's round was highlighted by an eagle on the par-4 10th.

In the round of 16 against Bryan, Peck was two down after two holes but rallied to go 1 up with four to play. Bryan captured the next three holes to end the match.
