COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M soccer team took a break from preseason practice this past Saturday to hand-deliver season tickets to 90 homes in Bryan/College Station.

The Aggies split into several groups and visited numerous homes with season tickets, a smile and a `thank you' in hand. Junior captain Kristin Arnold loved the opportunity to get to know many of the Aggie soccer team's biggest fans.

"It was great getting to meet so many of our supporters on Saturday," said junior captain Kristin Arnold. "We are really thankful for them and delivering the tickets is just one way we can show them how much we appreciate them."

A&M head coach G Guerrieri continued, "Today there are many things people can do with their entertainment money and we want them to know just how much we value and cherish their support."

The Aggies are in the middle of preseason training, which began Thursday, Aug. 6 and continues until A&M's first home game on Saturday, Aug. 22.

Aggie fans can catch their first glimpse of the 2009 A&M soccer team in an exhibition match against UAB this Saturday, Aug. 15 at 7 p.m.

A&M returns nine starters and welcomes eight newcomers to a team that ended last year ranked seventh in the nation after making its 14th straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament and advancing to the quarterfinals of the championship for just the fourth time in program history.

Individual and season tickets to all 12 A&M home matches are still available for purchase online at www.12thmanfoundation.com/tickets or by calling 1-888-99-AGGIE.
