COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M women's basketball team will appear on television eight times during the upcoming 2009-10 season.
After making a school-record fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance including back-to-back trips to the Sweet 16 a year ago, the Aggies were once again rewarded with an ESPN2 Big Monday game on Monday, Feb. 22, where they will face Baylor before a national television audience live from Reed Arena in College Station at 8 p.m. (CT). Last season, A&M upset second-ranked Oklahoma on a last-second drive by Takia Starks which made national headlines and the Top 10 Plays of the Day on ESPN SportsCenter.
As part of the Big 12 Conference women's basketball package, A&M will play in four nationally-televised contests on Fox Sports Net including a Jan. 17 matchup at Oklahoma in Norman, Okla., a Jan. 31 home tilt against Oklahoma State, a Feb. 6 road game at Nebraska in Lincoln, Neb., and a Feb. 20 State Farm Lone Star Showdown with rival Texas. The Aggies will face the Longhorns regionally on FSN Southwest on Jan. 9 in both team's league season opener.
Additionally, the Aggies will have two non-conference televised contests at TCU on Dec. 12 in Fort Worth, Texas, and at New Mexico on Dec. 30 in Albuquerque, N.M. Both games will be aired live on the Mountain West Conference Sports Network (The Mtn.). All times listed are Central Time Zone.
