Due to heavy rains in the College Station area the past couple of days and another deluge Friday evening, the Texas A&M Invitational has been canceled due to course conditions.
All measures were taken to try to keep the cross country meet on schedule. Even a revised course was established for weather affected areas during Friday afternoon. However, with more heavy rains throughout Friday evening, the course became unsuitable to compete on.
We didn't feel that we could protect the integrity of the intramural fields if we competed on them under current conditions.
