TULSA, Okla. - Texas A&M juniors Alexey Grigorov (Moscow, Russia) and Jeff Dadamo (Tampa, Fla.) both won their opening-round matches in the qualifying singles draw at the 2009 D'Novo/ITA Men's All-American Championships held Monday night at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

Grigorov dispatched preseason No. 107-ranked Antonie Benneteau of Florida in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, and will face ninth-seeded and No. 57-ranked Kallim Stewart of UCLA in tomorrow's second round.

Dadamo, meanwhile, had a rain delay in the first set against Jonathan Dahan of Cal, but prevailed with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 victory to move on to the round of 64. Dadamo rebounded from a 3-0 deficit in the third set by reeling off five-straight before closing the match out with a love game on serve. He will next take on No. 72-ranked Simon Childs of Louisville.

Dadamo and senior Marcus Lunt (San Antonio, Texas) will also compete in the qualifying doubles draw tomorrow. Play continues through Oct. 11.
