COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Former three-time Texas A&M men's tennis All-American Conor Pollock (San Antonio, Texas) recently reached the semifinals of the Mexico F10 Futures Tour tournament held in Zacatecas, Mexico.
Pollock, ranked No. 1714 in the world, qualified for the main draw and defeated Jonathan Magadan of Mexico in the opening round, 7-6 (1), 6-1. He later rallied past seventh-seeded and No. 830-ranked Luis Diaz-Barriga of Texas in three sets, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4, which led to a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Fernando Cabrera of Mexico in the quarterfinals.
Pollock's successful tournament run ended with a loss to top-seeded, No. 367-ranked and eventual singles title winner Miguel Gallardo-Valles of Mexico, 4-6, 7-6 (4), 6-4.
