COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M junior Rachel Shipley was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. In addition, the midfielder was selected as a CS360 Primetime Player of the Week, along with junior Whitney Hooper, and she was chosen to the TopDrawerSoccer Women's Team of the Week.

From Plano, Texas, Shipley netted two goals and produced four assists to score eight points last weekend. She lead the Aggies to an undefeated weekend and had a hand in A&M's final three goals against No. 19 Kansas and Missouri.

In Texas A&M's 4-3 victory over Kansas, Shipley logged the team's second goal on a penalty kick and assisted the game-winner. Shipley also contributed a goal into the upper 90 and an assist that produced the game-tying score in the Aggies' 4-4 tie against Missouri.

Shipley leads the Big 12 in assists in conference matches with four. She leads the team and ranks second overall in the league in assists with seven.

The Big 12 weekly honor is the third of Shipley's career.

Two weeks ago, Hooper collected nearly every weekly honor possible, including being named the NSCAA National Player of the Week. In A&M's matches last weekend, the forward from Houston, Texas, scored the final goal against Missouri in the 86th minute to force a 4-4 draw. She also added an assist against the Jayhawks.

The Aggie soccer team moved up one spot in the Soccer Times poll and is now ranked 14th in the nation. They continue their quest for A&M's 11th Big 12 Championship on Friday at Oklahoma State. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
