TULSA, Okla. - After a successful tournament run at the 2009 D'Novo/ITA Men's All-American Championships, three members of the Texas A&M men's tennis team were eliminated from singles and doubles competition held Friday night at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
Junior Jeff Dadamo (Tampa, Fla.), a transfer from Florida who earned a spot in the main draw after reeling off three-straight wins in the qualifier, dropped a 6-4, 6-2 decision to 13th-seeded and No. 14-ranked Michael Shabaz of Virginia in the round of 32.
Meanwhile, the No. 19-ranked doubles tandem of junior All-American Austin Krajicek (Brandon, Fla.) and junior Alexey Grigorov (Moscow, Russia) fell to fifth-seeded and eighth-ranked Bradley Klahn and Ryan Thacher of Stanford, 8-1, in the round of 16.
