COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M softball team closes out its eight-game fall slate with a doubleheader against McLennan on Monday. First pitch is set for 5 p.m. at the Aggie Softball Complex and admission is free to the public.

Following the twin bill, the Aggies (4-2) will begin the Maroon and White Series, a best-of-three intrasquad scrimmage that is played Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (if necessary). Each day play begins at 4 p.m.

In A&M's six games this fall, freshman Meagan May has led the offense with five home runs and 12 RBIs. Freshman Mel Dumezich blasted her first long ball in the Aggies last game.

Texas A&M outscored its last two opponents, 31-2, including two shutouts.

The 2009-10 Aggie softball team returns 10 letterwinners and welcomes seven newcomers.
