DALLAS - The No. 9-ranked Texas A&M men's golf team will defend its title at the Baylor Intercollegiate starting on Monday at Royal Oaks Country Club.

The 12-team field will play 36 holes on Monday and a final 18 on Tuesday. Live scoring is available online at www.GolfStat.com.

Other teams competing are No. 4 Texas, host Baylor, Arkansas, BYU, Iowa, Lamar, New Mexico, Oklahoma, SMU, Tulsa and UTSA.

The Aggies won the inaugural Baylor Intercollegiate last season.

Representing A&M will be senior Andrea Pavan, juniors John Hurley and Nacho Elvira, sophomore Geoff Shaw and freshman Cameron Peck.

The Aggies are coming off a 10-stroke victory at the Lone Star Invitational last week in San Antonio. Hurley captured the individual title, the first of his college career.

"The win last week was really nice and I think we are in the right frame of mind heading into our final event of the fall," A&M Coach J.T. Higgins said. "We were successful at Royal Oaks last year, winning the inaugural event, and I think the course sets up well for us. Royal Oaks demands patience and a team that doesn't force shots and takes what the course gives has a chance to be successful. We are going to approach this tournament the same way as last week, focusing on the process, trying to stay in the present and not worrying about the results. When we do those things, the results take care of themselves and we usually play pretty good golf."
