COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M women's tennis team concludes its fall schedule this weekend as the Aggies participate in the Baylor Invitational, Friday-Sunday at the Baylor Tennis Center in Waco.
"We've had good success this season and have shown improvement in every tournament we have played this fall, and it is important that we continue making progress," A&M coach Bobby Kleinecke said. "This is not as big of a draw as some of the other tournaments we have played, but it will still be another good test to show what we have learned as we finish out the fall season."
Singles play gets underway Friday at 9 a.m. as sophomore Ashley Turpin meets Monika Hadvigerova of UTA. At 9:30 a.m., junior Stephanie Davidson plays Madura Ranganathan of North Texas, and sophomore Sheri Olivier faces Narine Kazarova of North Texas.
Aggie senior Elzé Potgieter is the No. 3 seed in singles, junior Christina Amo. Cuthbertson, Potgieter and Amo begin second round action at 11 a.m. on Friday, and Urbina and Frank begin at noon.
In doubles, Olivier and Urbina open first-round action at 8 a.m. on Friday against Amo, who is teamed with Delia Damaschin of Wichita State. The A&M doubles teams of Davidson and Frank and four-seed Cuthbertson and Potgieter open play at 3 p.m., and Santacroce and Turpin begin at 4 p.m.
Teams participating in the tournament are Armstrong Atlantic State, Baylor, North Texas, Ole Miss, Rice, Texas A&M, Texas-Arlington and Wichita State.

The Aggies open the spring season on January 30 at Clemson in the opening round of the ITA Kickoff Weekend.
