JOHNSON BREAKS CAREER PASSING TDS MARK --- In just his 22nd career start, junior Jerrod Johnson broke Kevin Murray's 23-year old career passing touchdowns school record. Johnson had four against the Longhorns to raise his career total to 51, which broke Murray's mark of 48 from 1983-86. Rushing and passing, Johnson has now accounted for 65 career touchdowns.
• Johnson became the first Aggie to surpass the 3,000-yard level in season passing against Texas. Johnson threw for 342 yards to raise his school record to 3,217.
• His 342 passing yards were his fifth 300-yard passing game of the season (school record) and the seventh of his career (school record).
• His 97 rushing yards against Texas were a career-high for Johnson and also the most allowed by the Longhorns in 2009 (previous high rushing game was 71 yards by Central Florida's Jonathan Davis.
• Johnson generated 439 yards of total offense (342 pass, 97 rush), which ranks No. 3 in school history for single game yards. Johnson has now surpassed 400 yards in four games, including the school record of 487 vs. Kansas State in 2008.
LONG PASS AND CATCH --- The Aggies opened the game with a 70-yard pass and catch for a touchdown on the third play of their first offensive series. Junior quarterback Jerrod Johnson found sophomore receiver Stephen McGee for a 75-yard touchdown against Baylor.
NO PUNT RETURN YARDS FOR OPPONENTS --- True freshman punter Ryan Epperson has not allowed any punt return yards in the last five games, including tonight against the Longhorns when he booted four punts. In that span, Epperson has 18 punts and just three have been returned for zero yards. Epperson took off his redshirt for game seven this year against Texas Tech.

MISCELLANEOUS ---
• The Aggies generated 532 yards of total offense against the Longhorns, their seventh 500-plus effort of the season. The Aggies have generated 5,584 yards in 12 games this season, which is the No. 2 team total in school history behind the 1990 record of 5,653 (also 12 games).
• Sophomore Jeff Fuller matched a school record with three receiving touchdowns. His previous personal high was two, which he had done twice, most recently against Colorado in 2008. The record was set originally by Don Ellis vs. Arkansas in 1952 and matched by Don Jones vs. Rice in 1982, Chris Cole vs. North Texas in 1998 and Uzoma Nwachukwu vs. Utah State in 2009.
• The Aggies scored 21 first-half points against the Longhorns, matching their season high that had been achieved previously against Baylor and Iowa State. It was the first time this season that the Aggies had scored all three first-half TDs through the air.
• True freshman Ryan Swope served as the Aggies' primary kickoff returner for the first time against the Longhorns. He had returned one kickoff previously this season. Swope finished the evening with seven returns for 180 yards, a 25.7-yard average.
• Jerrod Johnson's four touchdowns matches a career high. He also had four touchdowns against Utah State.
• The 65-yard touchdown by Texas' Colt McCoy was the longest of the year allowed by the Aggie defense.
• Walkon Justin McQueen made his second consecutive start at cornerback in place of Dustin Harris, who has been slowed by an injury. It was the third start of McQueen career, who has also seen action as the 12th Man.
• Game captains were junior Jerrod Johnson (offense), senior Jordan Pugh (defense), sophomore Ryan O'Bryant. O'Bryant, a senior from Houston, Texas, was the 12th Man for the seventh time in his career.
