OMAHA, Neb. - Texas A&M outside hitter Sarah Ammerman was named to the seven-member NCAA Omaha Regional All-Tournament Team following the conclusion of the regional Saturday night at the Qwest Center.

The 6-2 senior from Parker, Colo., led the Aggies with 16 kills and 16 points in A&M's semifinal loss to No. 2 Texas on Friday. It was Ammerman's 24th match to reach double figures in kills this season as she led A&M to a 20-11 record and its first NCAA appearance since 2003.

Ammerman averaged 4.31 kills and 4.70 points -- both team highs - this season and ends her illustrious four-year career ranked third in the A&M career records for points (1708.5), fourth in kills (1,518) and tied for 14th in digs (1,009) and is the 10th player in the program history to reach the 1,000-milestone in both kills and digs.

Ammerman is joined on the all-tournament team by Victoria Henson of Iowa State, Kori Cooper and Sydney Anderson of Nebraska, and Juliann Faucette, Ashley Engle and Destinee Hooker of Texas. Hooker also was named regional most outstanding player.
