ORLANDO--Texas A&M offensive lineman Michael Shumard will participate in the East-West Shrine All-Star game this Saturday at Orlando's Citrus Bowl.
A native of Fort Hood, Texas who just wrapped his senior season for the Aggies, Shumard will be part of coach Marty Schottenheimer's West squad in the game that will kick at 2 p.m. (CT).
A three-year starter for A&M on the o-line, Shumard was part of a revamped front in 2009 that helped the Aggies produce the nation's fifth-best offensive attack. Texas A&M ran for an average of just over 184 yards per game and totaled 466 yards per contest in earning a trip to the AdvoCare V100 Independence Bowl.
Practices opened on Monday, and all NFL teams have scouts at both the practices and the game
