COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The fourth-annual Beat the Hell Outta Breast Cancer game will be held on Saturday, Feb. 13 when the Texas A&M women's basketball team hosts Kansas State at 7 p.m. (CT) at Reed Arena.
Â
Texas A&M's goal for this year's BTHO Breast Cancer game, sponsored by the College Station Medical Center, is to raise $35,000 to benefit the Kay Yow Foundation in honor of the late North Carolina State head coach who passed away at the age of 66 on Jan. 24, 2009, after battling the disease and promoting breast cancer awareness since her initial diagnosis in 1987. In each of the past two seasons, A&M has raised over $30,000 for breast cancer research.
Â
Tickets to the game are on sale for $10. The price includes a $2 and $8 donation to the Kay Yow Foundation. Tickets are priced at $10 for all seating levels in the arena and may be purchased online at http://tickets.12thmanfoundation.com, in person at the Ticket Center's Kyle Field or Reed Arena locations, or by telephone at 1-888-99-AGGIE. Those who wish to donate separately to the cause can also purchase tickets at regular price ranging from $11 for courtside seating, $9 for sideline mezzanine seating, $7 for baseline mezzanine seating or $5 for general admission seating.
Â
Fans can also purchase the official 2010 BTHO Breast Cancer T-Shirt for $5, courtesy of the College Station Medical Center, C.C. Creations and Bryan Broadcasting, with all of the proceeds from the sales benefiting the Kay Yow Foundation.
Â
For the third-straight year, a BTHO Breast Cancer 5K Fun Run presented by Chevron, will kick off the weekend's festivities with the race starting and finishing at the intersection of Olsen Boulevard and John Kimbrough Boulevard adjacent to Reed Arena on Saturday morning prior to tipoff.
