No. 19 Aggies Compete at UCF Challenge

SORRENTO, Fla. - The No. 19-ranked Texas A&M women's golf team will compete in the UCF Challenge Monday and Tuesday at RedTail Golf Club.

The 17-team field will play 36 holes on Monday and a final 18 on Tuesday. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.

Other participating teams are Augusta State, Baylor, College of Charleston, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Furman, Georgia State, Indiana, Miami, UNC-Greensboro, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Florida, Southern Methodist, UCF and UTSA.

Representing A&M will be seniors Julia Boland and Ashley Freeman, junior Sarah Beth Davis and Chloe Garner. Junior Alexa Porter will play as an individual.

"We're excited to be back in action this week," A&M Coach Trelle McCombs said. "The golf course sets up well for our team. We just have to stay patient and do a good job with our course management."

A&M opened its spring season with a tie for fifth place last week at the Central District Invitational in Parrish, Fla.
