COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The third-ranked Texas A&M equestrian team returns to action on Saturday when the Aggies host rival and fourth-ranked Oklahoma State at the Brazos County Expo Complex. Show time is 11 a.m. and admission is free.
A&M brings an 8-4 record and a 22-show home win streak into the weekend. The Aggies have won their last two competitions and are coming off a 14-9 victory over Kansas State two weeks ago in Bryan.
The Cowgirls, meanwhile, are 5-4 entering a show Friday at Baylor. Oklahoma State has dropped three of its last five and has won just once on the road this season--a five-point win at Kansas State in October.
The teams have met once earlier this year, with Texas A&M pulling out a 15-12 win over OSU in Stillwater back on Nov. 7. Lia Chafee and Courtney Dawe earned MVP honors on the day. The Aggies have won seven of the 10 all-time meetings with the Cowgirls.
"I know the team is excited about competing on Saturday," head coach Tana McKay said. "We have been riding well of late, and with only two weeks left in the regular season we need to keep that momentum up heading into Big 12s and beyond."
The Aggie Yell Leaders will be in attendance and will lead a yell practice, and the 12th Man Team Rewards crew will be scanning at the event as part of StampFest.
