COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M senior guard Donald Sloan has been named to the All-District VII Team by the Basketball Writers Association of America.
Sloan has averaged 17.9 points this season, leading the No. 23-ranked Aggies to a 22-8 record and a tie for second place in the Big 12 Conference with an 11-5 mark.
District VII includes all NCAA Division I schools in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas.
A&M opens play at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship on Thursday at 2 p.m. in Kansas City. The Aggies will play the winner of Wednesday's Missouri-Nebraska game.
