LAS VEGAS, Nev. - No. 7-ranked Texas A&M will compete at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters beginning on Friday at Southern Highlands Golf Club.
The 54-hole tournament ends on Sunday. Click here for live scoring.
The 15-team field includes 12 teams ranks among Golfweek's top 25. Joining the Aggies will be top-ranked Oklahoma State, No. 4 Texas, No. 6 Florida, No. 12 UCLA, No. 13 Arizona State, No. 14 UNLV, No. 15 Southern California, No. 16 Georgia, No. 19 Texas Tech, No. 20 Georgia Tech, No. 22 TCU, Arizona, New Mexico and Tennessee.
The A&M lineup will consist of senior Andrea Pavan, freshman Cameron Peck, sophomore Jordan Russell, sophomore Geoff Shaw and junior Nacho Elvira. Junior John Hurley will play as an individual.
"We are always excited to play in this tournament," A&M Coach J.T. Higgins said. "It's the best field this side of the NCAA Championship and it's played on a terrific golf course. Southern Highlands is always set up hard with super fast greens and tucked pins. It takes a great team effort to compete at this event. We will have to think right, control our emotions and execute. We always look forward to the opportunity to tee it up against the best and I think we are ready for the challenge."
The Aggies won their spring opener in February at John Burns Intercollegiate in Hawaii, their third title in six starts this season. Pavan captured individual honors while Peck tied for sixth.
