Men's Tennis No. 18 In Campbell/ITA Rankings

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M men's tennis team moved up to No. 18 in the latest Campbell/ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings released on Tuesday.

The Aggies (8-4) are coming off a 5-2 upset of No. 11 California on March 12 at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center. They currently rank eighth nationally in total attendance (1,230) and fourth nationally in average attendance (308) in the ITA Division I attendance race figures compiled from the months of January and March. A&M is an impressive 6-1 at home this season.

Junior All-American Austin Krajicek (Brandon, Fla.) is 8-2 on the season at No. 1 singles and is ranked No. 21 in the country this week. He is joined by No. 30-ranked junior Jeff Dadamo (Tampa, Fla.) who has put together a 7-3 record at the No. 2 line. Meanwhile, Krajicek and Dadamo remain ranked No. 9 nationally as the Aggies' top doubles combination.

A&M hosts Lamar and No. 24 Pepperdine on Friday, March 19 at noon and 6 p.m. (CT) respectively as part of a men's and women's tripleheader at the Mitchell Tennis Center. The Aggie women will open up Big 12 Conference play against Kansas at 4 p.m. (CT).

2000 Big 12 Tennis Championship Team Reunion Weekend Postponed...Due to scheduling conflicts, the Texas A&M Lettermen's Association has postponed the 2000 Big 12 Conference Men's Tennis Championship Team reunion weekend originally scheduled for March 19-21 in College Station.
