COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The 2010 Big 12 Conference champion Texas A&M women's basketball team will hold its annual end-of-season banquet on Tuesday, April 13 at 6 p.m. (CT) at The Zone Club at Kyle Field.
The event is open to the public and cost is $25 per person. Reservations can be made by calling the Texas A&M women's basketball office at (979) 845-0565 or by e-mailing DeAnna Doles at ddoles@athletics.tamu.edu. Tickets should be reserved no later than Friday, April 9. Only cash and checks will be accepted for payment.
This past season, the ninth-ranked Aggies reached the NCAA Tournament for the fifth consecutive season and earned a No. 2 seed for the third-straight year. A&M also compiled a 26-8 record and were crowned Big 12 postseason champions for the second time in program history. The Aggies also turned in the best four-year record in 36 years of Aggie Basketball with 107 wins and 31 losses from 2007-10. They are one of only three elite women's programs to receive a No. 2 seed or higher in each of the last three years along with defending national champion Connecticut and Stanford.
Seventh-year head coach Damitria Buchanan (Houston, Texas), Katrina Limbaha (Riga, Latvia) and Tanisha Smith (Kansas City, Mo.) will be honored during the ceremony along with additional award winners. A season highlight video produced by 12th Man Productions will also be shown during the banquet.
Parking for the team banquet will be available in both the Koldus or West Campus Garages as well as Lot 62. Dress attire is business casual.
