COLLEGE STATION, Texas - With four matches remaining in its 2010 spring schedule, the Texas A&M soccer team steps back on the pitch Friday for a pair of games against Stephen F. Austin and BYU. The Aggies host SFA at 3:30 p.m. at the Aggie Soccer Stadium and face the Cougars at 6 p.m.
Admission to both matches is free to the public. Parking for the event is directly across the street from the entrance in the Reed Arena parking lots.
A&M is unbeaten this spring at 7-0-1 and last shutout Baylor, 1-0, before playing to a 2-2 draw with Marquette. The Aggies have blanked five of their opponents in their non-traditional season.
In A&M's last time out, sophomore Sarah Pierson secured her first shutout of the spring.
BYU advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2009 and fell to No. 1 Stanford, 2-0. This spring, the Cougars are 5-2.
The Ladyjacks were 10-8-2 last season and are under the direction of new head coach, Tony Amato.
Soccer fans can catch more action on the pitch at 1 p.m. as BYU takes on SFA.
