Registration continues for the 2010 Texas A&M Volleyball Camp, and persons interested in attending are encouraged to sign up soon as space is limited.
Camp dates and descriptions are as follows:
July 5-7, All Skills/Position Camp I (players entering grades 5-10)
This first session is for beginners, and all skills of the game will be covered. Campers will gain position-specific training (split by positions: setter, middle hitters, outside hitters and liberos) and team training, as well as training in competition sessions.
July 9-11, Position Camp II: (players entering grades 5-12)
July 13-15, Position Camp III: (players entering grades 5-12)
Session II and III are position camps for intermediate-skilled players who want to improve in key areas that are specific to their game. Campers will gain position-specific training (split by positions: setter, middle hitters, outside hitters and liberos) and team training, as well as training in competition sessions. Note: Training for Session III is the same as Session II and is not an extension or continuation of Session II.
July 17-20: Advanced Camp: (players entering grades 9-12)
This camp is intended for experienced players who have a strong understanding of the game and at least one year of training in a specific position. The emphasis will be to refine individual techniques and tactics while training in a competitive team environment.
July 22-24: Team Camp: (players entering grades 9-12)
This camp is designed for high school and club teams. It gives teams the opportunity to train and sharpen skills along side teammates before going into the season. Also the camp coaching staff works closely with team coaches to help optimize each team's performance.
