The Texas A&M women's golf team is in eighth place after playing two rounds at the University of Florida's SunTrust Gator Invitational Saturday at the Mark Bostick Golf Course.

The Aggies shot rounds of 303 and 301 to put them at 44-over par. A&M goes into Sunday's final round chasing Florida State (+17), Michigan State (+20), Florida (+27), Chattanooga (+32), Notre Dame (+35), Nebraska (+39) and Central Florida (+43).

"We didn't look very sharp out there," Aggie golf coach Trelle McCombs said. "I'm not sure what went wrong but it didn't look like we were in control of our games. We will get it back on Sunday and see how high we can finish."

Senior Ashley Freeman led the way for the Aggies with rounds of 71 and 78 and is in a tie for 23rd at nine-over par. Freshman Sarah Beth Davis posted rounds of 76 and 75 and is tied for 30th at 11-over. Senior Julia Boland shot 78 and 75 and is tied for 37th at 13-over. Junior Sarah Zwartynski posted rounds of 83 and 73 and is tied for 53rd at 16-over. Freshman Chloe Garner shot 78 and 84 and is tied for 70th at 22-over.
