COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Former Texas A&M men's tennis standouts Lester Cook (Sherman Oaks, Calif.) and Brett Joelson (Beaverton, Ore.) recently captured the doubles title at the St. Vincent Tour de Paul USTA Pro Circuit Event in Little Rock, Ark.

The second-seeded doubles tandem, currently ranked No. 578 in the world, beat three-straight teams from Great Britain, France and Sweden, en route to a 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (7) victory over Australians Brydan Klein and John Millman in the finals.

Cook, a three-time All-American for the Aggies from 2002-04, also competed in the main draw of singles and entered the tournament as the highest-ranked player at No. 236 in the world in the latest ATP Tour rankings. He holds four USTA Pro Circuit singles titles to date. Cook and Joelson, who competed from 2004-07, still rank among the top 25 all-time in career singles victories and top 15 in career doubles victories in the A&M record books.

TCU Match Rescheduled...Fans also mark your calendars as the final men's home match will be played on Friday, April 23 as the Aggies face TCU at 6 p.m. (CT) at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station. Senior co-captain Marcus Lunt (San Antonio, Texas) and junior Patrick Dean (Dallas, Texas) will be honored during Senior Day festivities held prior to the match with the Horned Frogs.
