COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M's Austin Krajicek (pronounced CRY-check) was selected as Big 12 Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the second time this season on Tuesday.

A junior left-hander from Brandon, Fla., Krajicek led the Aggies to a perfect 4-0 week with wins over UTSA (4-0) on April 5, No. 36 Notre Dame (6-1) on April 5, No. 9 Baylor (6-1) on April 7 and No. 14 Texas Tech (4-3) on April 11. It marked the third career weekly honor for the two-time All-American and two-time All-Big 12 singles and doubles selection who was previously honored on March 30.

Krajicek, who earned a career-high No. 5 national ranking in singles on Tuesday, clinched the Texas Tech match for the Aggies with a convincing 6-4, 6-3 victory over then sixth-ranked and 2009 Wilson/ITA Texas Regional singles champion Raony Carvalho at No. 1 singles. With the win, the 19-year-old and 2008 U.S. Open wild-card qualifier became the 28th player in school history to gain entrance into the 50-Win Club having compiled an impressive 50-16 (.758) singles dual record since his freshman campaign in 2007-08. Krajicek also defeated No. 19-ranked Denes Lukacs of Baylor, 6-2, 6-4, and No. 29-ranked Casey Watt of Notre Dame, 6-2, 6-2.

He is currently 16-3 on the season in dual matches including a four-match win streak with an unbeaten 5-0 mark in league play. Krajicek is also 13-3 versus ranked opponents including notable wins over the No. 5, No. 6, No. 7 and No. 15 players in the country this spring.
