COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M baseball team continues its seven-game homestand on Tuesday when the Aggies host 23rd-ranked Rice at Olsen Field. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.
A&M has lost six in a row and sits at 20-14-1 on the season. The Aggies are coming off a weekend series loss to No. 3 Texas. The Owls (23-15), meanwhile, have won 11 of their last 14 games and enter Tuesday night's contest off a series win at UCF this past weekend in Orlando.
Senior Clayton Ehlert (1-3, 6.89) will get the start for Texas A&M and will face Rice junior right-hander Boogie Anagnostou (2-2, 4.39). The Aggies lead the all-time series, 176-92-2, and took the most recent meeting between the schools--a 7-3 defeat of the then top-ranked Owls in Houston last April.
Tickets for the game are available online at tickets.12thmanfoundation.com or at the Olsen Field box office on game day. Discounted $4 seats can be purchased at the Old Army Spirit Company on Harvey Road or by visiting oldarmyspirit.com.
