BOULDER, Colo. - The Texas A&M women's tennis team began its final road trip of the regular season by defeating Colorado, 5-2, today at the three-court Millennium Harvest Hotel Indoor Courts.

It was the 400th career victory for Bobby Kleinecke, although the 25th-year Aggie head coach missed the milestone match because of a family emergency.

With assistant coach Mark Weaver taking over the reins, the Aggies swept the three doubles matches and won four singles matches in straight sets to improve to 12-8 overall and 7-3 in Big 12 Conference matches only.

Colorado falls to 10-11, 3-7 Big 12.

In doubles, the A&M tandem of Christi Liles (Largo, Fla.) and Sheri Olivier (Topeka, Kan.) jumped out to a 5-0 lead and lost a total of only 10 points in an 8-1 victory over Ania Anuszkiewicz and Madie Kern at the No. 3 line.

A&M's 40th-ranked duo of Elzé Potgeiter (Bloemfontein, South Africa) and Nazari Urbina (Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico) led the entire match at No. 1, defeating Melisa Esposito and Monica Milewski, 8-3, to clinch the doubles point for the Aggies.

Stephanie Davidson (Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas) and Morgan Frank (Oldsmar, Fla.) completed the sweep, holding off a late rally to defeat Michala Jensen and Abbie Probert, 8-5, at No. 2.

In singles, 49th-ranked Urbina gave the Aggies a 2-0 lead and improved to 10-0 in Big 12 matches - all at the No. 2 line - with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over 107th-ranked Esposito. It marked the seventh consecutive win for Urbina, who improves to 19-2 overall.

Frank also improved to 19-2 in dual matches and moved to 9-1 in Big 12 matches only with a 7-5, 6-2 victory over Probert at No. 3, putting A&M ahead, 3-0.

Milewski, ranked No. 93, put the Buffaloes on the scoreboard with a straight-set win against No. 59 Potgieter at the No. 1 position. Milewski broke away from a 3-3 tie in the first set to win, 6-3. She then overcame a 5-2 deficit in the second set to win, 7-5.

Jensen put the Buffs within 3-2, defeating Olivier, 6-3, 6-0 at No. 4 before Lauren Santacroce (Spring, Texas) clinched the win for A&M with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Anuszkiewicz at the No. 5 position.

Liles then capped the win for the Aggies, defeating Erin Sanders, 6-4, 6-2 at No. 6.

A&M completes its regular-season schedule at Missouri on Sunday. The match against the Tigers begins at noon (CT) at the Green Tennis Center in Columbia, Mo.

The Aggies, currently fourth in the Big 12 standings, head to Austin for the Big 12 Championships, to be hosted by Texas, April 29-May 2 at the Penick-Allison Tennis Center.
