COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M baseball team closes a seven-game homestand on Tuesday when the Aggies host Prairie View A&M at Olsen Field. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.
Texas A&M (22-16-1) enters the game after dropping two of three to 17th-ranked Oklahoma over the weekend. The Aggies hit .288 as a team, while the pitching staff has fanned a Big 12-high 396 batters this spring.
Prairie View is 10-26 entering a SWAC game Monday at Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The Panthers have lost four straight and took a .275 batting average and a 6.21 team ERA into the weekend series with UAPB.
The schools will be meeting for just the second time ever on Tuesday. Texas A&M defeated Prairie View last April, 21-4, in College Station.
