COLLEGE STATION, Texas--Texas A&M treks north this weekend when the Aggies (23-16-1) face the Nebraska Huskers (19-22) in a Big 12 series in Lincoln ... Friday's opener is set for 6:35 p.m., Saturday's at 2:05 p.m. and Sunday's finale at 11:05 a.m. ... A&M is looking to pick up steam in the conference race with just three series remaining ... the Aggies, who have lost eight of 11 entering the series with Nebraska, are in eighth place in the standings at 7-10-1 but sit just 2 1/2 games out of third ... the Huskers, meanwhile, are 6-12 in league play and have also lost eight of their last 11 ... NU is in ninth in the Big 12 and is 1 1/2 games back of Texas A&M ... following the weekend, the Aggies have league games remaining at Oklahoma State (May 14-16) and home against Kansas State (May 21-23).
