COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Winners of three of its last four games, the Texas A&M baseball team heads east to Huntsville on Tuesday to battle Sam Houston State. First pitch at Don Sanders Stadium is set for 6:30 p.m.
The Aggies (25-17-1) enter the contest fresh off a series win against Nebraska over the weekend in Lincoln. A&M currently sits in fifth place in the Big 12 at 9-11-1 and has the upcoming weekend off from conference play due to finals.
The Bearkats, meanwhile, come in with a 17-28 record and 9-15 mark in Southland Conference play. SHSU has lost 10 of its last 12 including a sweep at the hands of Stephen F. Austin this past weekend in Huntsville.
Texas A&M leads the all-time series, which dates back to 1950, 83-36-2. The Aggies have won four straight and are unbeaten against Sam Houston in their last 15 contests.
Fans can listen to the game locally on WTAW-AM 1620 or worldwide on radioaggieland.com. A&M will be home this weekend for a non-conference series with Dallas Baptist that opens Thursday evening at Olsen Field.
