COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Several new football season ticket options are available for the upcoming 2010 Texas A&M home football schedule to be played at Kyle Field.
"We really appreciate our loyal season ticket holders here at Texas A&M," Director of Athletics Bill Byrne said. "We have remained among the Top 20 in the country in attendance figures, but there appears to be a perception that our games are always sold out. That is not the case. We have several new ticket options including a Family & Friends Zone. Our recent graduates may not be able to purchase tickets in the Zone Club, but we want to help enhance their Kyle Field experience with a new area called McFerrin's."
              Â
The Family & Friends Zone is located in the south end zone just in front of the 12th Man TV and is available with a tiered pricing structure to a maximum of six tickets per family. The first season ticket purchased is $250, the second is $200, the third is $150, the fourth through sixth ticket is just $100. A family of four can purchase season tickets for just $700 and no one in the stadium will be closer to the action. Approximately 2,000 seats are available in these sections and included with this package is a complimentary membership in the 12th Man Foundation.
              Â
"The area in the south end zone is a little more accessible for our families, especially those with younger children," Byrne said. "The Aggie football team comes running through the opening and I love to see the team giving the youngsters high fives as they come and go to the locker room."
              Â
For those who have graduated between the Class of 1999 and the Class of 2010, a new area called McFerrin's is an affordable place with some nice amenities located in the McFerrin Athletic Center at the southwest corner of Kyle Field.
              Â
"This is a great graduation present for our recent grads," Byrne explained. "McFerrin's is a game day club that takes some of the tailgate planning out of the mix with a buffet available as well as a cash bar and TV sets to watch other games and pre-game shows."
              Â
By purchasing tickets for McFerrin's, the seat location is the east side first deck. The package includes pre-game access (four hours prior to kick) to the air conditioned McFerrin Athletic Center for food, cash bar and televisions as well as a fast-pass entry into Kyle Field. The ticket package is $350 per seat and there is a limit of four per former student from the Classes of 1999 through 2010 and is being offered exclusively to those classes until July 1. Included with the purchase is a free one-year membership in the 12th Man Foundation.
              Â
For those former students who have already purchased priority tickets in other sections of the stadium, a $100 add-on will provide access to McFerrin's to mingle for the entire season. If you want to add-on for single games only, each game would be $20 per person. These options, if available, will be sold later in the summer.
              Â
The discounted sections of the Zone that have remained at $250 per seat have been renamed "The Flyovers" since those seated at the top of the Zone get the best view of the pre-game flyovers. The view of the game is enhanced by having a straightforward view of the big screen located at the south end of the stadium, 12th Man TV.
              Â
For those interested, the full priced season tickets are $399. There are sections available for the general public, Aggie Lettermen, faculty and staff areas as well as the priority seats that include a per seat tax deductible contribution with season parking.
