STILLWATER, Okla.--Kenny Jackson delivered a two-out, two-run double in the 10th inning to lift Texas A&M to a 5-3 win over Oklahoma State in 10 innings Saturday afternoon before 422 fans at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.

After an infield single, sacrifice and intentional walk put two on with one down, Cowboy pitcher Tyler Lyons induced an infield popup to bring Jackson to the plate. In his first at-bat of the game, the junior quickly fell behind 0-2 before taking a ball. He then lined the next Lyons offering to right center, one-hopping the fence and scoring both runners easily.

Closer John Stilson then closed the game, working around a lead walk and two-out single to get the final batter, Dane Phillips, to fly out to the track in left and seal the victory.

With the win, the Aggies improved to 32-18-1 and 11-11-1 in Big 12 play, and won a series in Stillwater for just the second time in school history. OSU, meanwhile, fell to 28-22 and 8-15. A&M's win was its 10th in the last 12 games.

"This was a huge win for us," A&M coach Rob Childress said. "Ross Stripling was outstanding and matched their guy pitch for pitch, and after we broke through in the sixth they came right back and made it a 0-0 game. Kenny Jackson then got the big hit for us in the 10th and we were able to finish them off after that. It was a great, great win."

The game was a pitcher's duel into the sixth, as Stripling and Brad Propst kept both teams off the board. A&M finally got to the Cowboy starter in the frame with three straight hits to start the inning, with the big blow a two-run triple by Adam Smith. Kevin Gonzalez followed with a sac fly to center to plate Smith and make the score 3-0.

OSU, however, would respond with three unlikely runs in their at-bat in the frame. After two quick outs, Stripling got Nico Rosthenhausler with an apparent inning-ending strikeout, but the ball skipped away and into the Aggie dugout--allowing the OSU left fielder to reach safely. Following a stolen base, Luis Uribe singled him home and Dane Phillips connected on his third home run of the year to right to tie the game.

The Aggies out-hit Oklahoma State, 12-10, on the afternoon, with Patterson recording a team-high three hits. Gonzalez and Brodie Greene had two apiece, while Smith and Jackson drove home four of the five runs.

For OSU, Uribe was a game-best 4-for-5 with an RBI, while Kevin David added a pair of hits.

John Stilson (7-1) picked up the victory in relief, allowing two hits and a walk over 2.2 shutout innings. He struck out three. Stripling went a career-high 7.1 innings and allowed eight hits and three runs. He did not walk a batter and fanned five.

Lyons (3-6) was tagged with the loss in relief, giving up four hits and two runs over the final four innings. Propst did not factor in the decision, giving up three runs and eight hits over six innings. He walked one and struck out five.

The series concludes tomorrow with first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m. Fans can tune in locally on WTAW-AM 1620 or worldwide at radioaggieland.com.
