ATLANTA - Texas A&M women's basketball associate head coach Kelly Bond was among the top assistant coaches in the nation who were featured at the First Annual Assistant Coaches Professional Development Symposium held earlier this month at the Downtown Sheraton Atlanta Hotel.

Bond, a native of Chicago, Ill., is A&M's top recruiting coordinator who has assembled back-to-back top 10 signing classes for the nationally-ranked Aggies. She has been an integral part of the program's success aiding head coach Gary Blair in building a women's basketball powerhouse in her seven seasons in Aggieland. Bond is considered one of the best young coaching talents in the country.

The empowerment symposium, presented by Felicia and Johnny Allen of Felicia Hall Allen Sports Management Group, was specifically designed for assistant women's basketball coaches. More than 100 coaches were inspired, motivated and invigorated by some of the best in the business during the two-day event.
