SKILLMAN, N.J. - For the second consecutive year, the Texas A&M men's tennis team will serve as a host for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Men's Kick-Off Weekend to be held at 15 campus sites across the country from Jan. 28-31, 2011.
The ITA Kick-Off Weekend features four teams at each site vying to advance to the 2011 ITA National Team Indoor Championships hosted by the University of Washington on Feb. 18-21, 2001, in Seattle, Wash.
The No. 1 team in each site will face the No. 4 team. The No. 2 team will face the No. 3 team. Two matches are guaranteed and the winners and losers will play the following day.
A&M will face Mississippi State in the opening round followed by Arizona versus Miami (Fla.) at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station, Texas. The Aggies are participating in college tennis' official opening weekend of the spring season for the third-straight year, having hosted two out of the last three years.
