GLENCOE, Ill. -Three members of the Texas A&M golf team have made the cut for the final round of stroke play in the 108th Western Amateur Thursday at Skokie Country Club.
Senior Conrad Shindler shot a three-under-par 68 in the second round, sitting in a tie for 15th with an even-par total of 142. Junior Jordan Russell (74-69=143) is one stroke back in a tie for 20th, while junior Geoff Shaw (74-70=144) is one behind Russell in a tie for 31st.
The top 44 players advanced to the third and final round of stroke play, which is just underway. At the conclusion of the round, the field will be cut to 16 for match play, which starts Friday morning.
Senior John Hurley (73-73=146) missed the cut by one stroke, finishing in a tie for 53rd.
