COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Season tickets as well as individual match tickets for the 2010 Texas A&M volleyball season are on sale at the 12th Man Foundation Ticket Center.
Season tickets are $100 for reserve seating. Also being offered for the first time this year is a $65 general admission season ticket.
Individual match tickets are $9 for reserve seating, $7 for adult general admission and $4 for youth 2-years old through high school age. A&M students without a sports pass can purchase tickets for $4 each.
In addition, group tickets are $3 per person for groups of 12 or more, but the tickets must be pre-purchased through the 12th Man Foundation Ticket Center.
The Aggies will play a total of 14 home matches at Reed Arena, including the season-opening Texas A&M Invitational Aug. 27-28. The Aggies open the tournament Friday, Aug. 27 at 10 a.m. against Siena, which has appeared in the NCAA tournament four of the last five years. A&M also takes on Pacific, a member of the strong Big West Conference, at 6 p.m. that evening.
A&M concludes the tournament Saturday, Aug. 28 at noon against defending Southeastern Conference champion LSU in a rematch of the 2009 NCAA second-round match which saw the Aggies upset the No. 15-seeded Tigers, 3-2, in Baton Rouge, La., to advance to the Sweet 16.
Other home matches include a non-conference contest against Sam Houston State Wed. Sept. 1, as well as the always challenging 10-match Big 12 home schedule, which kicks off against rival and 2009 NCAA runner-up Texas on Thursday, Sept. 16.
A&M concludes the regular season at home against preseason Big 12 favorite and 2009 NCAA regional finalist Nebraska on Saturday, Nov. 27.
The Aggies return seven players, including two starters and the libero, from last year's 20-11 team that advanced to the NCAA regional semifinals and ranked No. 21 in the 2009 final poll. In addition, 18th-year head coach Laurie Corbelli welcomes eight newcomers.
The team will host an intrasquad scrimmage Monday, Aug. 23 from 5-6:30 p.m. at Reed. The scrimmage is free and open to the public, and ticket office personnel will be on hand at the event to sell season and individual match tickets.
