COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M senior Rachel Shipley was named the top player to watch in the Big 12 Conference on a list comprised recently by TopDrawerSoccer.com.
The midfielder from Plano, Texas, held the No. 1 spot in front of players like Morgan Marlborough (NU), the 2009 Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year, and Adrianna Franch (OSU), Annika Niemeier (OSU) and Whitney Palmer (OU), all of whom joined Shipley on the All-Big 12 first team a year ago.
The College Players to Watch Women's Top 20 list also included Texas A&M sophomore Mary Grace Schmidt and junior Bri Young, ranked eighth and ninth, respectively. Senior Whitney Hooper was close behind at 11th.
Aggie soccer was one of just two Big 12 programs to have four student-athletes selected to the top 20.
