TANAGURA, Japan - Heavy rains from Tropical Storm Malou have delayed the start of the Texas A&M men's golf team's season at the 28th Annual Topy Cup.
The first round was scheduled to start Thursday morning local time at Tanagura Country Club, located in the mountains about 3 1/2 hours north of Tokyo. Instead, the Aggies are currently playing a practice round and will open the tournament with 36 holes on Friday (Thursday evening in Texas). The third and final round will be played as scheduled on Saturday (Friday evening Texas time).
Tournament organizers plan to update scoring every nine holes beginning with the first round online at www.topycup.com.
