COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M senior Rachel Shipley led the Aggie soccer team to two road victories last weekend and for her efforts was named the TopDrawerSoccer.com Player of the Week on Monday.

From Plano, Texas, Shipley scored twice in A&M's 5-2 win at Indiana on Friday and then added two assists, including serving the golden goal as the team downed Purdue 2-1 in overtime on Sunday.

With Shipley's help, Texas A&M jumped up to a No. 6 national ranking in the Soccer America Women's Top 25 poll.

As the player of the week, Shipley is also listed on the TopDrawerSoccer.com Women's Team of the Week. This is the first time an Aggie has been named the TopDrawerSoccer.com Player of the Week and second time this season an A&M player was selected to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week.

The award is the second-career TopDrawerSoccer.com weekly honor for Shipley.

The Aggies remain on the road for their third-straight road match Friday before returning to the Aggie Soccer Stadium for a Sunday evening game. Kickoff at No. 3 Portland is set for 9 p.m. CT Friday and A&M hosts Cal State Northridge Sunday at 6 p.m.
