
Former A&M Standout Wilkinson Wins First International Medals at Commonwealth Games

Former Texas A&M standout Julia Wilkinson, representing Canada, earned the first international medals of her career with a trio of bronze medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, which were contested in New Delhi, India.
Texas A&M's first-ever NCAA swimming champion, Wilkinson tallied pair of individual bronze medals with third-place finishes in the 200-meter IM and the 100 back, and a relay bronze with Canada's 400 medley relay. Wilkinson posted times of 1:00.74 in the 100 back and 2:12.09 in the 200 IM, and also turned in a 1:01.63 leadoff backstroke split for the 400 medley relay.
Wilkinson also turned in a sixth-place finish in the 50 back in 28.76 and swam a leg on Canada's fourth-place 800 free relay.
