UPPER MARLBORO, Md. - Texas A&M freshman Maggie Boylan recorded a victory and four other top-five finishes over the weekend while competing at the 2010 Capital Challenge Horse Show outside Washington, D.C.

Boylan scored an 88.5 on her ride to best a field of 33 and win the large junior hunter 16-17 division at the challenge, held at the Prince Georges Equestrian Center.

In the world champion hunter rider (WCHR) junior challenge, she averaged just under 89 points per ride to place second out of 23 competitors. Boylan also placed second in the junior world champion hunter undersaddle event, second in the WCHR undersaddle and fifth in the junior hunter 16-17 handy competition.

A native of Patterson, N.Y., Boylan is a psychology major and the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Boylan. She and her Aggie equestrian teammates return to action on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 10 a.m. when they play host to Oklahoma State at the Brazos County Expo Complex.
