WACO, Texas - Texas A&M's run in the USTA/ITA Texas Regional came to an end as Nazari Urbina fell in the singles semifinals and Morgan Frank was eliminated in the quarterfinals today at the Baylor Tennis Center. A&M also was eliminated in the doubles tournament as Urbina and partner Christi Liles were knocked out in the quarterfinals.

Urbina, the No. 3 seed in singles, opened play today by defeating No. 5 seed Rebekka Hanle of Rice, 6-3, 6-0, in the quarterfinals. Urbina, however, was eliminated in the semifinals after falling to No. 2 seed Marta Lesniak of SMU, 6-4, 6-1. Lesniak had reached the semifinals by defeating Frank, 6-2, 6-2, in the quarterfinals.

In doubles, Urbina and Liles dropped an 8-6 decision to No 3 seed Sona Novakova and Nina Secerbegovic of Baylor in the quarterfinal round.

In other action, A&M's Sherri Olivier fell to No. 14 seed Jessica Jackson of Rice, 7-5, 6-1, in the quarterfinals of the consolation bracket. Olivier and partner Stephanie Davidson were eliminated in the semifinal round in consolation doubles after falling to Haley Fornier and Liindsey Tristan of Texas Tech, 8-5. Olivier and Davidson reached the semifinals by defeating Guzman and Jackson of Rice, 8-4, earlier in the day.

The Aggies close out the fall season Nov. 5-7 at the North Carolina Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C.
