TANNEHILL DAZZLES IN FIRST CAREER START AT QB
Junior Jerrod Johnson against Kansas State in 2008, and he demolished Johnson's QB starting debut record of 275 passing yards set against Miami (Fla.) in 2008. His 36 completions were the second-most in school history, and the most-ever in an Aggie victory.
TANNEHILL'S BIG FIRST HALF
In his first career start at quarterback, junior Ryan Tannehill set a first half school record with 277 passing yards on 24-of-31 passing against the Red Raiders. The old record was 224 by Jerrod Johnson in the first half against Texas Tech at Kyle Field in 2008.
AGGIE OFFENSE GOES OVER 600 YARDS
The Aggie offense broke the 600-yard plateau for the first time this season and the 15th time in school history on Saturday. A&M's total of 623 ranks ninth all-time and is the most in a game since a 714-yard outburst against SMU in 2005.
The 623 yards of offense are the second-most by a Texas A&M team in a Big 12 game (719 vs Baylor, 2003).
ANOTHER 500-YARD OFFENSIVE GAME FOR SHERMAN'S AGGIES
The Aggies rolled to their 12th 500-yard offensive outing in the last 21 games since shifting to the hurry-up, no-huddle offensive scheme at the beginning of 2009.
MOVING THE CHAINS
Texas A&M racked up 35 first downs Saturday, the second-highest total in school history. It marked the most in a game by an Aggie offense since 1986 against TCU (38, school record).
TWO 100-YARD RECEIVERS FOR AGGIES
Texas A&M had two 100-yard receivers in a game for the first time since 2002 on Saturday. Jeff Fuller (171 yards) and Ryan Swope (105) were the first Aggie receiving duo to accomplish the feat since November 2, 2002, when Greg Porter (154) and Bethel Johnson (107) teamed up against Oklahoma State in Stillwater.
BULLOCK HITS HUNDRED
Junior placekicker Randy Bullock became the fifth Aggie kicker to connect on 100 career extra points with his first successful PAT of the game. He also went over 100 in consecutive PATs, which is a school record. With six against Texas Tech today, Bullock (105) joins Kyle Bryant (145), Todd Pegram (141), Terry Venetoulias (139) and Tony Franklin (123) in the Aggies' 100-PAT club and extends his successful PAT streak to 104.
FULLER EXTENDS SEASON, CAREER TD CATCHES RECORDS
Junior Jeff Fuller grabbed two more touchdown catches today, which extends his career TD catches record to 27 and breaks his own school record for season TD catches. Fuller pushed the season record to 11 with his pair of TDs against Texas Tech. Â
For the game, Fuller grabbed a career-high in both catches and receiving yards with 11 catches for 171 yards with two TDs. His previous high catch game was 10 (twice previously) and 160 yards vs. Louisiana Tech earlier this year.
