Texas A&M Falls to No. 11 Arkansas

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Ryan Mallett threw three touchdown passes in the first half then struggled to do anything else, and safety Tramain Thomas intercepted a pass in the end zone on the game's final play to give No. 11 Arkansas a 24-17 victory over Texas A&M.

The Razorbacks (4-1) had plenty of chances to break the game open. They recovered three fumbles inside the Aggies 40-yard line, but managed only one field goal out of it, their only points in the second half.

Arkansas' defense was hurt by a few big plays by A&M (3-2), but came through when it mattered most.

The Razorbacks were coming off a narrow loss to No. 1 Alabama, and are headed into a game at No. 8 Auburn.

Mallett was 27 of 38 for 310 yards, with an interception that set up A&M's first touchdown.
